We're looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, support development of new products and growth into new markets. The role encourages collaboration across disciplines from operations, logistics, manufacturing and vendor relations. The ideal candidate is self-starter comfortable wearing multiple hats in an environment that is deadline driven, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and ever-evolving.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain management. Responsible for the supply chain processes from sourcing strategy, procurement, supplier management, adherence to project timelines, maintaining consistency of supply. An approach focused on quality, delivery and cost.
  • Logistics management. Responsible for distribution (ocean and air freight), order fulfilment, sales orders and invoices for e-commerce, corporate and wholesale customers. Track efficiencies and optimize supply and distribution models.
  • Inventory management. Utilize data and supply management tools to accurately forecast demand. Collaborate with suppliers to maintain consistency of supply at our global distribution centers. Implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Third party relations. Lead the selection and management of suppliers, vendors (manufacturing, warehousing and transportation), and 3PL providers. Develop and maintain the partnerships including contract negotiations to optimize value and ensure that the agreed standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Operational strategy. Maintain and analyze performance metrics to assess supplier performance. Stay current on related practices and implement operational improvements to optimize the use of resources.

What we are looking for

  • Solid academic background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related field with at least 5 years relevant industry experience. Supply Chain certified such as CSCP, CPIM etc. would be preferred.
  • Past experience in International Logistics, Manufacturing/Factory Planning or Sourcing is a plus.
  • Sound understanding of customs regulations, international freight (ocean and air, inbound and outbound) and retail fulfilment procedures.
  • Good understanding of e-commerce platforms used to keep track of inventory, delivery times, transport costs, fulfilment, invoicing and performance evaluation. Familiarity with Shopify and Zoho would be an advantage.
  • Practical experience managing 3PL partners and using EDI and other WMS (warehouse management systems) or DMS (distribution management systems).
  • Excellent computing skills (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc. or equivalent Google applications such as Sheets, Docs etc.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and good with numbers. A talent for data analysis is a plus.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Reliable, independent, motivated, organized and able to self-manage workflow with little supervision. Adaptability to changing business requirements and a start-up/roll-up-your-sleeve mentality is essential.
  • A love for process, problem solving complicated situations and a natural desire to simplify processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to manage and liaise effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
