This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 24 months with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Senior Manager – IT Strategic Programme on the overall IT systems implementation of the Dongguan Logistics Park project (HKIALP)
  • Act as the Project Manager (HK-based) on applications and/or infrastructure of the HKIALP project to facilitate the HKIALP IT team for the implementation of the IT systems at Dongguan Logistics Park
  • Support the tendering process of the IT systems, including the preparation of tender specifications, proposals evaluation, and vendors (external contractors) selection
  • Work closely with the managers on IT systems implementation and planning
  • Define the governance and best practices on IT systems implementation
  • Review the design and end-to-end systems integration and testing
  • Plan, direct, and monitor the performance of the implementation team, including external contractors, according to project objectives and milestones to achieve timely and precise delivery
  • Manage and alert senior management of potential project risks and provide mitigation actions
  • Define the operations guidelines for the support team, including external contractors, in daily incident resolution and problem management
  • Ensure smooth systems operations by providing instructions and expert advice to the supporting team

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Holder of Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and / or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification is preferred
  • With a minimum of 8 years' relevant working experience, including at least 6 years' experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Expertise in system development life cycles and engineering methodologies. Knowledge in aviation and/or airport industry, civil aviation system interface protocols are preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese, Mandarin and English
  • Self-motivated with business acumen and teamwork mindset
  • With a valid permit to travel to Dongguan
