Sales Director, Retail APAC

We are assisting our client, a European MNC, in finding a highly motivated and results-driven Sales & Marketing Director to lead business development across the APAC region. This role will be responsible for expanding their APAC footprint, building long-term strategic partnerships, and driving commercial success across key retail sectors such as supermarkets, convenience stores and general retail. Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Leadership Lead the development and execution of the APAC sales and marketing strategy, aligned with overall company growth objectives. Identify new business opportunities, develop a strong pipeline, and secure partnerships with major retailers across diverse verticals. Drive consultative selling of our end-to-end loyalty solutions, ensuring alignment with client goals and market demands. Manage the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and proposals to negotiation and contract closure. Build and expand the company’s presence across APAC markets, with a strong focus on high-growth regions. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry insights to inform strategic decisions. Localize sales and marketing initiatives to align with market-specific behaviors and retailer needs. Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior retail stakeholders, including C-level executives, decision-makers, and strategic partners. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term retention. Marketing & Brand Development Work with internal teams to develop targeted marketing campaigns, product positioning, and sales collateral for the APAC region. Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client presentations. Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with product, operations, and technology teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client requirements. Provide feedback on market needs to influence product development and innovation. Qualifications 15+ years of proven experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles within FMCG, Marketing Services (i.e. loyalty, retail marketing, CRM, digital solutions), or related industries. Strong APAC market experience with established networks across supermarkets, convenience stores, fuel stations, retail chains, or consumer-facing industries. Demonstrated success in high-level negotiations and closing complex, multi-market deals.
