Job Description: Our client, aleading proprietary trading firm is looking for a Trading Support Engineer to join its high-performing technology team in Hong Kong. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role supporting cutting-edge trading systems across Asian markets. What You'll Do: Own critical incidents by identifying root causes, mitigating impact, and leading post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence. Ensure the seamless operation of distributed, multi-server trading systems. Be the go-to expert for traders by providing hands-on trade floor support and direct application assistance. Oversee UAT coordination and production software releases to maintain stability and performance. Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues. Design and implement robust monitoring and logging solutions, enhancing system reliability and visibility. Automate and optimize workflows, developing scripts and tools to drive operational excellence. Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying gaps and suggesting better processes or tools. Engage in occasional after-hours support and testing as required to ensure smooth operations. What You Bring: A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. At least 3 years of experience in a trading support or similar technical role. Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or PHP). A proven track record of driving change and delivering results in a collaborative environment. Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A passion for automation and building scalable, standards-based solutions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. Why Join our client?
