Job Description Role Summary: The Underwriting Manager will lead a team of professionals to drive profitable growth across general insurance lines. This role requires strong technical expertise in underwriting and reinsurance, strategic leadership to manage risk exposure, and the ability to develop innovative products while maintaining operational excellence. The Opportunity – Underwriting Manager Lead and inspire a team of 6‑8 underwriters Report directly to the COO Key Responsibilities Develop and review underwriting plans, manage risk exposure through delegated authority and reinsurance Underwrite Motor, Property & Casualty, and Accident & Health products to drive profitability and growth Provide technical support for treaty renewals, system updates, and daily operations Handle general business, inward facultative, and treaty reinsurance underwriting Prepare reinsurance treaty renewal data, review slip wordings, compare terms, and draft replacement reports Drive product development, enhancement, marketing, customer research, and product analysis Conduct regular credit control and monitor premium production against budget Propose business and underwriting strategies to achieve corporate targets Build and maintain strong client and producer relationships Support the Head of Business Department in delivering excellent customer service and operational efficiency Identify training needs and coordinate development plans for team members Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in insurance or related fields (e.g. ANZIIF Senior Associate / Fellow CIP) Minimum 10 years’ experience in underwriting, reinsurance, and client servicing, with at least 5 years in management Mature, independent, self‑motivated, with strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Good command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (spoken and written) What We Offer 5‑day work week (Mon to Fri, 9:00am‑5:15pm) 13‑month salary plus performance bonus 16‑20 days annual leave (depending on grading) Comprehensive medical & dental insurance covering dependants To Apply Please attach your CV with salary expected to #J-18808-Ljbffr
