UX Researcher

At Lalamove, you will work with talented Product Managers, product designers, local operation teams, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, enthusiastic company. The ideal candidate loves to investigate and understand people, systems, operational flow, and has the technical skills to dig deep into motivations. You will be responsible for defining the research approach and time frames, conducting different research methods, forming actionable insights, and translating them into appropriate deliverables, including reports, journey maps, service and operational flows, and presentations. What You Will Do Advocate for users (customers and drivers), uncovering pain points and blockers that prevent them from achieving their goals. Define, plan, and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, collecting and analyzing opinions and data to investigate the root cause of the current user experience issues. Coordinate with internal teams in different cities to conduct research and understand their operational flows and practices that may impact (or be impacted by) users' pain points. Provide actionable insights to help drive evidence-based product decisions and align with business goals. Liaise with other user researchers to co-develop and track user research needs and goals to ensure that user research consistently supports product initiatives. What We Seek University graduate with 1+ year of experience working in a direct UX research role is preferred. Fresh graduate with relevant internship/placement experience is also considered. Relevant experience in user research or a related discipline such as service design, design strategy, or market research. Familiarity with user research methodologies such as content analysis, interviews, ethnographic fieldwork, survey design, data analysis, moderating group conversations, live prototyping sessions, co-design workshops, and engaging users remotely. Some experience with basic mixed methods research and ability to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative user research. High-quality planning and organizational capabilities. Strong understanding of UX and the latest technology trends. Clear and persuasive communication of complex concepts; strong teamwork, self-motivation, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English. Nice To Have Degree in Service Design, Design Strategy & Management, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Social Science or a related field. Complementary talents such as communication design, CX, account management, or service design. Fluency in other languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesian, or Bahasa Malay. Portfolio Submission Your portfolio should include 1-2 examples of projects you have worked on in a research capacity. For each project, focus on: the challenge you were trying to solve; your specific role; the research approach and methods; key learnings or insights; impact of findings.
