Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Ophthalmology) Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (Ref. We are now seeking exceptional scholars to join us as Assistant Professors/Associate Professors/Professors/Chair Professors (on substantiation‑track) in all academic fields with special focuses on One Health, Digital Society, Smart City, Matter, Brain , and related interdisciplinary areas. Research fields of particular interest include, but are not limited to: biomedical science and engineering veterinary science computer science and data science neuroscience and neural engineering bio-statistics and AI-healthcare smart/semi-conductor manufacturing AI/robotics/autonomous systems aerospace and microelectronics engineering energy generation and storage digital business and innovation management fintech and business analytics computational social sciences digital humanities digital and new media law and technology healthy, smart and sustainable cities The position will be appointed on clinical track or tenure track. Responsibilities The appointee will actively contribute to the missions of VCS to train highly professional veterinary clinicians, to advance animal health through cutting‑edge clinical research and to engage with and support the local community. The appointee will teach across the BVM curriculum to ensure that students can attain Day 1 competences by integrating and applying knowledge, skills and professional attitudes. The appointee will provide didactic and laboratory teaching. They will also support students on clinical rotations which begin in 2022. The appointee will take up administrative work and other duties to facilitate the development of the College and its Departments as a whole. Involvement in clinical research is supported and encouraged. Requirements The appointee shall possess a veterinary qualification recognized for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong with degrees in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), or equivalent in all levels of appointments. Board certification (European, Australian/New Zealand, American, or equivalent Boards) in the relevant discipline is required for appointment at Clinical Associate Professor level or above. For Clinical Assistant Professor, credentials for Board certification should be completed, or near completion. In some cases, a PhD with advanced training in the relevant clinical discipline may be considered as equivalent to board certification. Experience in clinical teaching, service and research is required. A PhD is preferred for clinical track and essential for tenure track. #J-18808-Ljbffr
