The Hong Kong Trade Development Council ("HKTDC"), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong's external trade, is looking for a dynamic and high caliber professional to join our Finance & Accounts Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Procurement Section on purchasing related matters
  • Provide administrative support to internal buyers on reviewing tender documents including specifications and composition of bidder list, etc
  • Monitor the compliance of procurement activities and provide guidance to internal user departments against the guidelines and procedures
  • Support the maintenance of the Approved Supplier List
  • Liaise and facilitate the Tender Board Meeting including the preparation of any necessary documents such as price analysis and summary of tender submission
  • Review contracts/ agreements for the awarded tender with terms and conditions
  • Prepare procurement training materials, analysis and reports for management review
  • Maintenance of the Procurement Webpage
  • Assist the implementation of e-Procurement Platform
  • Perform any ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Business Administration or related discipline
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in sizable organizations; NGO/public sector experience will be an advantage
  • Proactive, self-motivated and independent
  • Multi-tasking, able to meet tight deadlines as assigned
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong command in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience in ERP / procurement system implementation will be an advantage

Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Procurement Officer.

Remuneration and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits, will be offered.
