Manager/ Senior Manager (External and Alumni Relations) - DBM Add expected salary to your profile for insights The Senior Manager/ Manager, External and Alumni Relations at HKUST Business School (EAR), is a pivotal leader in advancing the School's global reputation. This role works closely with the Head of EAR to drive the School's narrative, foster strong alumni and stakeholder relationships, and lead key strategic initiatives in accreditation and brand management to elevate the School's profile and impact. Key Responsibilities Strategic Content & Brand Management: Develop and implement a compelling content strategy that showcases the School's thought leadership and milestones. Oversee the creation and curation of high-impact content for key platforms and communication channels, including social media, e-newsletters, the website, and other promotional materials. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Cultivate strategic relationships with key alumni, industry partners, and external stakeholders. Enhance the School's brand through the strategic planning and execution of stakeholder events and recognition initiatives. Serve as the secretariat for the School Advisory Council, managing governance and reporting activities. Accreditation & Institutional Reporting: Lead the management of international accreditation exercises (AACSB, EQUIS), overseeing end‑to‑end preparation and collaboration. Collaborate with internal departments to consolidate data for institutional reporting on teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, and partnerships. Operational Leadership: Contribute to departmental leadership in areas such as strategic development, resource planning, and team management. Supervise team members and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of departmental objectives. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Communications, PR, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Proven track record in senior, external‑facing stakeholder management. Experience with AACSB and EQUIS accreditation frameworks is a significant advantage. Skills and Competencies Exceptional Communicator: Excellent Command of English and Chinese. Strategic Leader: Ability to translate goals into actionable plans and compelling content. Relationship Builder: Outstanding interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders. Highly Organized: Expert project manager, adept at handling multiple complex initiatives under pressure. (Duration: 2 years, renewable) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
