Reporting to the Senior Manager (Long Term Business), the incumbent will undertake the following: Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage Assistant Manager(s) and relevant team members. Perform prudential supervision of authorized life insurers through financial risk monitoring. Conduct actuarial analysis/assessment on assigned matters and provide actuarial advisory/support to facilitate decision making. Monitor life insurers’ compliance with regulatory requirements under a risk-based capital regime. Liaise with industry and professional bodies on matters related to regulation and development of the life insurance industry. Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to support the statutory functions of IA. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related disciplines. Fellow actuary with at least 6 years of relevant experience (including 4 years post-fellowship) in risk and capital management, life actuarial practice, or regulatory fields. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, supervisory standards, insurance products, asset/liability and capital management, industry practices, and market dynamics. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure as a team player. Proactive, self-motivated, and open to challenging tasks. Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese. Terms of Appointment Competitive remuneration package based on experience, on a 2-year contract.
