Global Markets Trainee, Credit Trading (One Year Contract) Business type Corporate & Investment Banking Job title Global Markets Trainee, Credit Trading (One Year Contract) Contract type Internship/Trainee Job summary The ideal candidate should complete their graduation requirements by November 2025 and be available to start the position from December 2025. The trainee program is one year initially, with the possibility of extension up to two years in total, subject to performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities Support the trading of credit products including Asian credit bonds and CDS within authorized trading limits, i.e. risk parameters and designated currency and product limits. Act as back‑up for traders and provide pricing for trades as delegated. Perform daily and weekly tasks related to analysis of the desk’s positions, risk management, and PnL evolution. Formulate trading strategies daily by analysing the latest market data. Adhere to the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme implemented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA); candidates with a previous In‑Scope position within the last 7 years will be subject to a mandatory reference check. Geographical area Asia, Hong Kong City Hong Kong Education Bachelor’s Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent. Master/Bachelor degree holders with a strong academic background in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance and Economics are also considered, provided they have less than 12 months of full‑time experience. Level of minimal experience 0–2 years Experience Prior experience in capital markets products is an advantage. Required skills Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to provide solutions. Self‑motivated and hardworking with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility. Technical skills required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other PC applications. Languages Fluent in both written and spoken English. Fluent in Mandarin is a plus.
