VP of Information Security (Web 3.0 / Crypto / Blockchain / Digital wallet) | HKD 90,000 - HKD 110,000 per month We are seeking an experienced and visionary VP of Information Security to join our client, a leading Web 3.0 and well-funded blockchain start‑up. This role will ensure robust protection of digital assets, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with international best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in risk management, incident response, and advanced security technologies within fintech, cloud, and digital asset environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and enforce enterprise-wide security strategy and governance framework aligned with international standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and local regulations (HKMA, SFC). Lead risk monitoring and incident response programs , ensuring rapid detection, containment, and remediation of cyber threats. Oversee 24/7 vulnerability management operations , including threat intelligence and proactive risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with HKMA Cybersecurity Fortification Initiative (CFI) and CRAF requirements , and maintain strong regulatory relationships. Drive cloud security and DevSecOps practices , embedding security into development and deployment pipelines. Manage and optimize SIEM, PAM, and other security tools for continuous monitoring and access control. Provide strategic leadership in blockchain security and digital asset protection , ensuring resilience against emerging threats. Lead security awareness programs and foster a culture of cybersecurity across the organization. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity , with at least 3 years in a leadership role within fintech, cloud, or digital asset sectors. Proven expertise in CRAF implementation and compliance under HKMA guidelines. Strong track record in handling and mitigating cyberattacks , including advanced persistent threats. Deep understanding of cloud security architectures, DevSecOps principles , and secure software development lifecycle. Hands‑on experience with blockchain security , SIEM , and Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools. Familiarity with international security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements under HKMA/SFC. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Attributes Strategic thinker with the ability to balance security and business objectives. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to emerging threats. Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex security programs in a fast‑paced environment.
