As the Franchise Head of Biologics, you will work very closely with the Business Unit Director, BioPharmaceuticals to deploy and adapt the AZ Commercial strategy to the local market, including tactics and execution. The Franchise Head reports to the Business Unit Director, BioPharmaceuticals. The Franchise Head will lead the franchise team (Marketing and Sales), focused on commercial planning and execution, maximizing the impact of face‑to‑face and virtual engagement to achieve or exceed commercial goals. You will ensure robust analysis and planning of the products within the Franchise via coaching, leading and developing the team, ensuring strong engagement across the franchise and strong collaboration across cross‑functional functions. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of commercial activities for the franchise, including marketing strategy & execution, sales management, empowering cross‑functional collaboration and a patient‑centric approach. Develop local franchise strategy (based on Global strategy) and localized brand plans, including launch plan development and management of brand plans / performance reviews; ensure strategic integration of expanding portfolio and synergies across portfolio. Develop local forecasts with a solid understanding of P&L, assumptions, insights / trends and solid resource and budget management to deliver on P&L. Drive execution of the brand plans & brand KPIs through close collaboration with cross‑functional partners. Develop relevant communication & innovative campaigns, manage external agencies and ensure sign‑off. Lead, coach, mentor the team to ensure professional development of each member, enabling them to reach their objectives and create the highest possible value. Develop and support strong cross‑team collaboration. Develop and manage relationships with Key External Entities (KEEs) in collaboration with Medical and senior management; work with government affairs partners, ensuring policy‑shaping activities and market access to support growth of the portfolio. Engage proactively with global/regional teams and other markets to facilitate best practice learnings and ensure quality deliverables. Demonstrate business ethics and ensure active respect of values, business ethics, local laws, policies and Marketing procedures. Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct, supporting Policies and Standards and Company Values to protect and enhance long‑term performance and reputation. Other duties within the position’s scope, as assigned by Line Manager. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in the field of science or business. At least 10 years of working experience in pharmaceutical sales & marketing with a multi‑functional background. At least 3 years’ experience in a management role with people‑management responsibility (less experienced but strong candidate will be considered Business Manager). Demonstrates innovation, strategic and tactical abilities in developing and successfully implementing a comprehensive commercial plan. Track record of strong cross‑functional collaboration and self‑motivation. Ability to set an ambitious and clear vision and build organisational commitment. Ability to influence multifunctional decisions and senior management. Problem‑solving, decision‑making ability and goal‑focus. Strategic and analytical mindset. Fluent in English and Cantonese. Desirable Master’s degree in business or a science‑related subject. Sales management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
