Senior IT Officer (IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity), Computing Services Centre HONG KONG SHUE YAN UNIVERSITY Computing Services Centre Position: Senior IT Officer (IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity) Overview The role is within the Computing Services Centre of Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Responsibilities Managing, implementing, and maintaining the university’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, and telecommunications systems. Performing system administration, troubleshooting, configuration, deployment, and maintenance; implementing solutions and planning for disaster recovery. Managing the university’s IT network infrastructure. Ensuring systems and services are reliable, secure, and efficient. Planning, implementing, and maintaining server rooms / data center. Providing technical documentation and manuals related to servers, systems, and network infrastructure. Performing daily operational health checks, monitoring, and restoring systems in events of disruption or outage. Performing other assigned tasks. Requirements Holder of Higher Diploma or above in IT or related disciplines. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (preferred). Certifications such as CISA, CISSP or equivalent is an advantage. Strong analytical and independent problem‑solving skills; able to work under pressure. Self‑motivated and able to collaborate with IT team members and users. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good command of English and Chinese. Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. Candidates with more experience may be considered for the rank of “Assistant IT Manager/IT Manager”.
