Your Role and Impact You will be responsible for managing the daily order taking and risk management of ETF Primary Markets across APAC. Acting as a conduit between external trading firms, market infrastructure and portfolio management, this team member will require outstanding collaborative skills and the ability to partner with a broad range of stakeholders. You will be accountable for analyzing and understanding the technical nuances of ETF trading, spanning all asset classes. Protecting the primary market through risk management is a core function of the role; you will work with closely with the team to respond to a broad spectrum of market events and disruptions, requiring sound judgment under pressure and a strong understanding of business-wide risks to drive effective solutions. In addition, you will partner with internal partner teams and externally with ETF liquidity providers to progress critical initiatives, understand trading frictions as well as chances to create changes that increase participation or strengthen the ETF ecosystem. Your Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for broker‑dealers, market makers, stock exchanges, service providers, and internal teams regarding all aspects of primary trading of iShares ETFs. Perform and oversight primary market activities (creations/redemptions) between APs/PDs, Portfolio Management, Trading, Exchanges & ETF Service Providers. Be a risk manager, ensuring our ETFs and their shareholders are protected. Be a subject matter expert in ETF trading, demonstrating deep product knowledge to promote trading efficiency and differentiate iShares from competitor funds and other investment vehicles. Collaborate with external liquidity providers, grow those relationships, and collectively drive strategies which can improve ETF trading efficiency. Partner with internal stakeholders including product development teams and portfolio managers to implement product design and trading process improvements. Partner with technology and platform teams to manage and support a global technology pipeline and test and implement key enhancements to our primary market platform. Ability to work with the team in responding to a broad range of market events and disruptions, requiring the ability to operate and show sound judgement whilst under pressure and a strong understanding of risks across the business to effectively drive solutions. Collect, analyze and extract meaning from ETF trading data to produce relevant market content. You Have 3-5 years of industry experience, with a solid understanding of trading and market infrastructure. A risk management mindset, capable of identifying downstream implications and proactively flagging vulnerabilities. A high level of motivation, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to perform effectively under time pressure. A strong sense of professional discretion, accountability, and judgment. Adaptability and teamwork are essential. Proven relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and actively listen across functions and seniority levels. Excellent oral and written communication skills-clear and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders is critical. Experience in the ETF industry, and familiarity with Digital Assets, Tokenization, and Derivatives products is highly desirable. A background in fund accounting, NAV oversight,Transfer Agent oversight and custodial services is also preferred. Proficiency in Python, SQL, VBA, or other coding languages is a plus. Willingness and ability to fulfill local licensing requirements.
