Programme & Events Manager - Sustainability Engagement

KITE Search is currently partnered with an impact driven sustainability consultancy that is changing the way Hong Kong thinks about sustainability and environmental conservation, connecting business success with social progress and conservation. This role will see you working with companies to advise and support the implementation to bring the strategies to life. As the demand increases from Hong Kong corporates, financial services and NGO's for more focus on ESG and Sustainability our client are looking to appoint a Programme & Events Manager to support their growing services in Hong Kong and Asia. This role will maintain a strong focus on driving measurable environmental, social and financial impacts of responsible business practices. The role will also offer the opportunity to be involved in the design and delivery of purposeful programs. You will have the opportunity to work as a core member of the team innovating and delivering bespoke solutions to instigate positive social and environmental change in Asia. Role Understand the requirements and potential impact of each programme (e.g. engagement campaigns, trainings, social innovation workshops) to ensure the programmes are curated in the right direction to achieve its intended outcome Plan and execute programmes with attention to financial and time constraints, thoughtful selection of vendors and partners, effectiveness of engagement as well as responsible management of social and environmental impact, with a view to creating memorable and inspiring encounter of sustainability topics for the participants Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems Oversee programme delivery, and act swiftly and sensibly to resolve problems Conduct pre- and post–programme evaluations and assessment of outcomes to gather insights for designing and implementing future programmes more effectively Qualities, Skills & Experiences A passion for driving positive change, more than an interest in environmental and social issues Experience in marketing/event management, with track record of organizing successful campaigns Minimum 4-6 years of work experience in marketing, event management or corporate social responsibility Experience in corporate environment, public relations, marketing and stakeholder management an added bonus A mature individual who is humble, meticulous, resilient, and solution-driven High level of agility, adaptability and persistence in the pursuit of impact Excellent time management and interpersonal skills A well-organized team player who can manage multiple projects independently Flexible, e.g. willing to host or attend events outside working hours Excellent written and spoken language ability in both English and Chinese is a must Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Bachelor degree or higher in communications, public relations, sustainability or relevant field This represents a fantastic opportunity for someone enhancing their career in sustainability to work in a stimulating and exciting team with ample learning and development opportunities on the job.
