Assistant Physical Education Manager (two posts) Ref. -IE Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver physical education, fitness room training, and physical wellness courses. Design and teach new sports courses to enrich the physical education curriculum. Manage and coach sports teams, and provide support to student‑athletes. Coordinate and organise competitions as well as sports exchange programmes with local, regional and overseas universities. Assist in the promotion and screening process of the student‑athletes admission scheme. Assist in managing the sports facilities. Promote physical wellness and carry out programmes to educate students about benefits of physical activities. Serve as the convenor or members of the Organising Committee to organise the University’s sports events. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates. The appointees may be required to work on irregular hours. Qualifications Recognised degree or above in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Coaching or related discipline. Recognised teaching qualification in Physical Education (e.g., Cert Ed., BEd., or PGDE) with supervised classroom teaching practice. Valid certifications in Resistance Training Instructor Course. At least five years of work experience, preferably with university‑age students and/or young people. Knowledge of intercultural and educational development for university students. Solid administration and leadership skills, and a desire to mentor others to help them reach their full potential. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; the ability to communicate in other languages including Putonghua an advantage. Good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Conditions of Service A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
