KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary –

The newly created role - senior manager (global) of corporate communications will implement a full range of communications strategies that enhance the organisation's reputation, brand visibility, and stakeholder engagement. This role encompasses corporate branding, crisis communication, media relations, and thought leadership, ensuring alignment with the organisation's overall objectives and corporate communications priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

  • Strategic Communications Programs: Execute effective communication programs and protocols, mandates with a view to enhance the organisation's reputation.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially news and business media, to ensure corporate messaging and media coverage are in line with the organisation's objectives and corporate communications priorities.
  • Crisis Communications Management: Support issue management to ensure internal teams' preparedness and mitigate reputational risk by monitoring/managing social and mainstream media with an anticipatory approach and recommendation—Cascade crisis communications protocols and training programs across the organisation.
  • Content Development: Craft and gatekeep bilingual external communications materials (Traditional Chinese & English) for the corporate senior executives, including key messages, speeches, press releases, and presentations, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy across the regions.
  • Website and Social Media Management: Manage the corporate website and LinkedIn account.
  • Thought-leadership: Collaborate with agencies and partners to identify and facilitate event planning for corporate senior executives to attend and/or speak at key business events and conferences.
  • Travel: Occasionally, visit the organisation's properties and key media markets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English, capable of crafting clear and persuasive corporate content for different audiences.
  • Internationally minded. Highly motivated and agile personality with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a commitment to delivering excellence.
  • Effective relationship management and strategic thinking with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Strong data/analytics and presentation skills.

Qualifications –

  • Bachelor's degree minimum.

Experience –

  • Professional background in Public Relations or Communications with minimum 10 years experience gained within media/PR agency and corporate communications of multinational company. Travel and hospitality industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with different perspectives and priorities, including corporate, regional and properties, as well as PR agencies and partners.
  • Budget planning and management.
  • Social media and website content development and management.
