Job Summary Manage and ensure smooth running of the clearing operations across different asset classes (including on-exchange and OTC products) by managing and controlling operational risks, resolving exceptions and contingency situations swiftly and professionally, making well‑considered decisions consistent with the risk appetite of HKEX. Responsibilities Manage and ensure smooth running of the clearing operations across different asset classes (including on-exchange and OTC products) by managing and controlling operational risks, resolving exceptions and contingency situations swiftly and professionally, making well‑considered decisions consistent with the risk appetite of HKEX. Review and enhance policies, rules and procedures and systems, and streamline operational processes in order to support new clearing services / business initiatives by analysing situations and identifying the key or underlying problem statement. Plan and manage quality delivery of project tasks including user requirements and user acceptance tests. Establish and maintain good relationship and partnership with internal departments, external business counterparties, relevant statutory bodies, and market practitioners through effective stakeholder management skill to create value for the business. Requirements University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration / Accountancy / Economics or related subject. At least 8 years’ relevant experience in financial industry, preferably in the clearing operations of on‑exchange equities, derivatives and/or OTC markets (at least 4 years at management level). Having operation experience in fixed income, currency and OTC areas would be an advantage. Strong analytical thinking and risk awareness to day‑to‑day operations. Ability to articulate and contribute with clear and open communication, with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage. Conversant with Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint, knowledge of AI, macro and automatic tools would be an advantage. Work shift duties including evening shift and public holiday support on regular and need basis. HKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
