Assistant Professor (Ref: ) Department of Cultural and Creative Arts The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is a publicly funded university, dedicated to the advancement of teacher education and related disciplines through a diverse offering of academic, professional and research programmes. Faculty of Humanities As a distinguished arts education provider in the region, the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts is dedicated to fostering a creative and dynamic learning environment in Music, the Visual Arts, and other art‑related disciplines, while simultaneously promoting high standards of professionalism in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer. The Department is now accepting applications for the post of Assistant Professor in the areas of digital music practice, electroacoustic music, and multi‑media composition. Applicants with additional expertise in sound design and film scoring will be considered a plus. Candidates should possess a relevant doctoral degree and a strong track record in research and teaching. Responsibilities include: Participating in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and community service. Applying for research and project funding. Generating high‑quality research and/or creative output. Contributing to curriculum/programme development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Partaking in departmental activities and management. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed‑term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract‑end lump sum payment (totaling up to 15 % of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where applicable, housing benefits.
