Personal Assistant to the Dean of Business and Economics (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref. : ) to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. The Faculty of Business and Economics is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Personal Assistant to support the Dean of our prestigious and dynamic Faculty. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a visionary leader. The appointee will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Dean's priorities are executed efficiently focusing on high-level responsibilities that drive the Faculty's success. Key Responsibilities Strategic Support: Assist the Dean in preparing high-quality proposals, reports and presentations following meetings with the Management Team; Meeting Coordination: Organize and prepare for key meetings including agenda creation, material preparation and follow-up on action items; Project Management: Oversee and manage special projects on behalf of the Dean ensuring timely and successful completion; Communication Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the Dean and internal/external stakeholders maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality at all times; Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on strategic initiatives, industry trends and academic developments to support informed decision-making; Time Management: Optimize the Dean's schedule ensuring efficient use of time and prioritization of high-impact activities. Requirements A good bachelor's degree is required preferably in business administration, management or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in a public / quasi-public organization or a related sector. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Administrative Assistant II; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) are required along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen ability to learn and adapt; Highly motivated, diligent, proactive, detail-oriented and well-organized. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. Compensation and Benefits A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
