Senior Transaction Manager, Debt Capital Markets GLAS is an award‑winning independent debt administration services company providing, amongst other services, loan agency, security agency and corporate trustee services in the international debt capital markets. With its origins in complex restructuring transactions, GLAS’s work covers a broad range of transactions including direct lending, high‑yield bond issuances, and complex debt restructurings. Services are delivered in connection with corporate debt, acquisition finance, project and infrastructure finance, and sponsor and corporate‑led leveraged finance transactions. GLAS currently has offices in London, Sydney, New York, New Jersey, Brisbane, Melbourne, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore. Position Summary We seek a confident, experienced and self‑motivated individual to join our growing Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team in Hong Kong. You will be responsible for onboarding new DCM transactions, reviewing transaction documentation from an operational perspective, managing those transactions to completion and acting as the primary point of contact for relevant counterparties throughout. Transactions falling within the DCM remit will include new bond issuances, restructurings, MCB issuances and conversions and liability management exercises. You will be supported by colleagues across the GLAS network, based primarily in Hong Kong, London and New York, and will work closely with more junior team members to assist their professional development. Responsibilities Managing and organising daily workload to meet defined deadlines. Reviewing and commenting on transaction documentation. Negotiating commercial points with external counterparties. Inputting relevant data into internal GLAS systems. Handling client queries in a timely manner. Co‑ordinating with counterparts in other GLAS offices and ICSD contacts to ensure transactions are workable. Maintaining vigilance regarding risks and mitigating where possible, escalating to senior GLAS staff when warranted. Managing post‑close DCM portfolio, including creditor queries, chasing unpaid amounts and ensuring covenant compliance. Assessing implications of amendments, waivers, modifications, breaches of covenant or default events. Adhering to GLAS’ values and ethos, providing exceptional client service. Building relationships with law firms and external parties to enhance GLAS’ market reputation and bring in new work. Training junior team members. Experience and Qualifications Educated to at least degree level. Experience in the DCM space, mainly Corporate Trust with a knowledge of Trustee and Agency functions. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). Understanding of (and willingness to learn about) the full range of GLAS products and services offered in Asia. Highly organised with a “can do” attitude. Proactive thinker, planner with a strong work ethic.
