About Our Client: Our client is a notable organization in Hong Kong and is known for its dedication to innovation, integrity, and ethical practices. The legal team plays a crucial role in steering the company through the complexities of legal regulations and disputes.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Junior to Mid-Level In-House Litigation Lawyer to join our client's legal team. This role is ideal for those eager to expand their litigation experience within an in-house environment, offering guidance on legal matters, and contributing to the company's defense strategy. You'll be part of a team that values proactive legal thinking and strategic dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigation Support: Assist in managing litigation cases, from preparing case files to supporting in court or arbitration proceedings.
  • Legal Advice: Provide legal insights on litigation risks associated with business decisions, helping to shape strategies for dispute prevention.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Contribute to ensuring the organization complies with local and international laws, focusing on litigation-related issues.
  • Negotiation: Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations, learning to navigate towards amicable resolutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other departments to integrate legal perspectives into operational decisions.
  • Documentation: Help draft and review legal documents, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Learning and Development: Engage in continuous learning and possibly assist in training sessions on legal matters.

Qualifications:

  • Education: LLB from a recognized Hong Kong institution, with a PCLL. An LLM could enhance your candidacy.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, with some exposure to an in-house environment beneficial.
  • Admission: Admitted to practice law in Hong Kong.

Skills:

  • Developing skills in legal analysis, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Effective communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin).
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Attributes:
