Job Title: - Business Data Analyst Experience Level: - 2-4 years Location: Hong Kong Role Overview We are looking for a Data Business Analyst to support data-driven initiatives and transformation programs within the banking domain. The role involves bridging business needs with technical solutions, ensuring data governance, and enabling analytics capabilities across the organization. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis Capture and document business requirements related to data management and analytics. Translate business needs into functional specifications and data models. Perform gap analysis between current and target data architecture. Data Governance & Quality Support implementation of data governance frameworks and policies. Define data standards, taxonomy, and metadata requirements. Monitor data quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Technical Collaboration Work closely with data engineers, architects, and technology teams on data integration and ETL processes. Understand APIs, data pipelines, and system interfaces at a conceptual level. Assist in testing and validation of data solutions. Analytics & Reporting Enable business teams to leverage data for insights and decision-making. Support development of dashboards and reports using BI tools. Promote data literacy and adoption across business units. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, IT, or related field. Experience: 3–5 years in data analysis, business analysis, or banking transformation. Exposure to data governance, data quality, and analytics projects. Technical Knowledge Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). Understanding of APIs, data flows, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Ability to work in agile and hybrid delivery environments.
