HSBC Central & Western District, Hong Kong SAR Investment Counsellor HSBC is seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Investment Counsellor. Principal Responsibilities Provide investment support, education and guidance to clients, prospects and Relationship Managers. Assess client needs, experience, expectations and risk tolerance. Deliver CIO market updates and house views on a timely basis and provide clear tactical strategy to Relationship Managers to enhance their functional competencies & professionalism. Develop comprehensive investment strategy and asset allocation appropriate to clients. Coordinate execution of investment strategy with appropriate products and services. Monitor client portfolios for performance, appropriateness and opportunity. Provide updates on investment insights to clients / prospects and Relationship Managers. Provide input and support for the development of new business initiatives and product enhancements. Identify and communicate issues or limitations related to product, platform, operations, systems or pricing. To Be Successful You Will Need Proven track record in investment advisory and/or investment sales in private wealth management, asset management, sell side or buy side. Knowledge of private banking business onshore and/or offshore. Knowledge of competitive and regulatory environment. Client focused, with strong sales, analytic, technical, teamwork and relationship building skills. Strong negotiation, complex problem resolution, communication and presentation skills. Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professional and personal integrity. The employment is subject to Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (MRCS) as per regulatory requirement.
