Global Banking - Leveraged Debt Capital Markets Join to apply for the Global Banking - Leveraged Debt Capital Markets role at UBS Job Reference # BR Job Type Full Time Location Central & Western District, Hong Kong SAR Your role Identify and meet client’s financing needs, coordinating and working alongside external and internal stakeholders, including senior colleagues, legal counsels, investors, credit risk control, etc. Create partnerships by increasing depth and breadth of client relationships. Develop pitch book presentations to explain financing trends, discuss client financing options and recommend financing strategies to meet client goals. Manage the whole deal life cycle including pitching and mandate, syndication, documentation and closing. Act as the first line of defense and be the owner of risk. Conduct due diligence on projects and monitor financing transaction from closing to final repayment. Review and analyze financial models for financing transactions. Prepare materials and present recommendations to credit committee. Draft termsheet and negotiate documentation for loan financings. Review information memorandums and answer Q&As of syndicate banks and investors. Maintain relationship with syndicate banks and investors. Make sound and balanced judgments (and always within professional, ethical, regulatory and legal standards). Your team Based in Hong Kong, you will be working in the Financing team of the Global Banking division, which covers Asia ex-Japan ex-Australia. Our role is to provide corporate, institutional and wealth management clients with financing advice, solutions, execution and full access to the world’s capital markets. The Financing Team originates corporate loan financings, acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, bridge financings, unlisted and illiquid shared back financings. We commit UBS principal in structured and complex financing transactions. We also underwrite, originate and distribute loans to a diverse range of investors including banks, credit funds, hedge funds, etc. Your expertise 3-5 years of experience in leveraged financing / loan capital markets or structured finance in a corporate and investment banking setting. A university degree in business administration, economics or finance. Strong understanding and experience with loan products and cross-border transactions. A great communicator, whether presenting to clients or senior executives. Able to develop creative financing solutions to meet client needs and identify cross-product opportunities.
