The selected candidate will work for a company incorporated by the University of Hong Kong that was established to administer and support the university’s innovation endeavors.
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of solid administrative work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese), strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and appropriate IT skills. They should be able to communicate with different parties and be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
The appointee will provide procurement and clerical support to the administration team, including:
- Placing routine orders for laboratory and general purchases via an e-procurement system and coordinating with vendors for delivery;
- Settling invoices in an ERP system and coordinating with the central payment team;
- Maintaining inventory and fixed assets records with the administration team;
- Managing office supplies;
- Monitoring bulk order possibilities from routine ordering;
- Providing clerical support to the laboratory;
- Handling staff reimbursement;
- Providing ad hoc support when necessary.
