Associate, Client Analytics

Summary Contribute to the formal establishment, continuous innovations and review of the Client Analytics brand and offering as an integral part of Financial Markets within Sales in GCNA. Continue to build corporate and FI client business across asset classes with a focus on clients in GCNA, while assisting client requests globally. Develop sufficient knowledge and experience about detailed balance sheet, ALM and client portfolio analysis to support strategic business with corporate and FI clients. Develop and maintain tools for analytical work and client projects. Demonstrate excellent soft skills including deal communications and strong teamwork. Job Responsibilities Work together with Sales and banking teams as well as Structuring, Traders and Research to provide and deliver innovative and cutting‑edge cross‑product analytics aimed at growing the Cross Asset Macro business in GCNA and globally; drive service excellence through robust product origination, bespoke solutions, holistic hedging strategies, debt portfolio and cash optimisation. Analyse and quantify currency, interest‑rate and commodity exposures arising from clients’ balance sheets, cash flows and investments; provide tailored hedging solutions and risk management through VAR and portfolio optimisation based on risk tolerance and cost criteria. Develop analytical tools for back‑testing performance of different products and for multicurrency debt portfolio optimisation. Present analysis and recommendations. Ensure clear teamwork across different hubs and efficient execution and delivery of new products and replicable ideas; circulate information, share replicable themes and participate in regular team meetings and calls; continuously collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver the best solutions to clients timely. Identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the Group; understand the main risks facing the Group and the role in managing them; deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and challenge fellow executives. Adhere to the Bank’s Code of Conduct and all internal and external regulations; identify and escalation issues in a timely manner. Job Requirements Degree in Financial Engineering. Experience with programming in MATLAB and VBA is essential; C++ is beneficial. Python and R coding experience would be advantageous. Technical qualifications (derivatives pricing, quantitative finance, programming, CFA, FRM) combined with business/finance knowledge are advantageous. Basic understanding of FX, rates and commodity markets. Expertise in data analysis using Excel and statistical analysis. Fluency in Business Chinese and English.
