Project Description To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world‑class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals for the following position(s). Number of Openings 4 Job Responsibilities Support R&D in 5G core network, edge computing system, 5G applications integration, Operation Technology (OT) applications integration Build and execute 5G end‑to‑end system integration, interoperability testing, verifications, performance testing and tuning on 5G system (5G features such as Time‑Sensitive Networking (TSN), Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), Network Slicing, Cloud Native 5GC, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), …) Develop hands‑on experience and know‑how in cloud‑based technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, Kafka, Redis, gRPC) Develop responsive and user‑friendly web interfaces for 5G management systems using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js Design and implement robust backend services in Java, leveraging technologies like MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra for scalable and high‑availability solutions Design and develop high‑performance, scalable, and reliable C/C++ code for 5G core network functions Work closely with other software developers, system architects, and network engineers to ensure interoperability and performance of the 5G core network functions Develop and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure quality and robustness of the code Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner Communicate and support customers for commercialization Job Requirements Graduate with a Bachelor’s, Master or a PhD degree in STEM‑related disciplines such as Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Mathematics or relevant disciplines is welcome to apply Familiar with cloud‑based technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, Kafka, Redis, gRPC) is a plus Experience with one or more of the programming languages: C/C++, Golang, Python, Java, Shell Scripting, etc. Experience in web development (e.g., React.js, JavaScript, CSS etc.) is a plus Good command of written and spoken English or Chinese (including Putonghua) Self‑motivated and good communication skills Live ASTRI values Application The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary.
