Risk Manager – Hedge Fund We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our client, a multi-strategy hedge fund. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and enhancing the firm’s risk framework across multiple strategies and asset classes. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with portfolio managers, senior management, and technology to ensure robust risk oversight and effective capital allocation. The position is based in Hong Kong with regional exposure and global collaboration. Responsibilities Apply and enhance firm-wide risk management frameworks across portfolios and strategies. Monitor daily P&L, exposures, and key risk metrics; identify and explain material drivers of risk and performance. Conduct regular portfolio reviews, assessing concentration, liquidity, and stress test outcomes. Set and monitor risk limits, elevate breaches, and engage directly with portfolio managers to discuss exposures. Evaluate prospective investment teams and strategies from a risk perspective; provide recommendations on limits and capital usage. Develop and maintain scenario analyses and stress testing methodologies across asset classes. Collaborate with technology and data teams to build and refine tools that enhance transparency and risk analytics. Communicate risk insights and portfolio vulnerabilities clearly to senior management. Stay abreast of market developments and emerging risks that may impact portfolio exposures. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in risk management or trading within a hedge fund, multi-manager platform , or investment bank . Solid understanding of derivatives, financing, and cross-asset risk dynamics. Proven ability to analyse complex portfolios and communicate key findings effectively. Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfort working with large datasets and market data. Programming experience is advantageous (Python preferred). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with investment teams and management. Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
