Nord Anglia International School, Hong Kong is looking to recruit a Business Studies and Economics Teacher to join our Secondary team, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the subject of Business Studies and Economics. Responsibilities Lead initiatives to boost student participation and school spirit. Support enrichment activities and school events. Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates. Deliver dynamic, inclusive and effective lessons. Foster creativity, problem‑solving and design thinking. Use data‑driven strategies to support diverse learning needs. Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences. Serve as a Form Tutor and contribute to the IB curriculum. Develop and implement curriculum‑aligned lesson plans. Ensure rigorous assessment and timely feedback. Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance. Engage in continuous professional learning. Reflect on practice to improve teaching effectiveness. Uphold school values and contribute to a positive school culture. Qualifications Qualified to Bachelor of Education or relevant degree with PGCE in Business Studies and Economics or related subject. Qualified Teacher Status. Qualified teacher with experience teaching in a UK and/or international environment. Business Studies and Economics training or similar qualification. Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience. Knowledge and understanding of students’ learning and development and how this relates to Business Studies and Economics practice. Knowledge and awareness of current educational developments in Business Studies and Economics. Evidence of knowledge and understanding of wider educational developments. Knowledge and experience in raising standards for all groups of students. Ability to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate lessons and learning as part of the school curriculum. Knowledge of the English National Curriculum and related subject knowledge. Knowledge of assessment and reporting procedures. Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level and IB syllabus and all associated examination arrangements. Ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students. Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in. Compliance with visa requirements for working. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
