Senior Finance Analyst

Senior Finance Analyst (6 Month Maternity Cover) Finance team has the primary responsibility for monitoring financial controls, delivering financial data, analysis, statutory reporting and providing this support to the CEO, CFO, Enterprise Leadership Team and underlying business teams. Specifically, this role will be part of the Asia Finance team, primarily responsible for assisting the Hong Kong Senior Finance Manager in the following. Finance Operations Full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting Coordination of processes and reporting within the wider FSI finance teams regionally within Asia, and globally Finance Control Preparation and delivery of accurate and relevant management reports / financial insights to the Business (sales, margins, cost, capital etc) Maintenance of the Finance control framework Your day-to-day: Finance Operations (Monthly responsibilities) Revenue associated accounting and billings, including payment collection and reconciliation Management and accounting for distributor commission process (trail commissions) Liaison with overseas finance colleagues with regards to transfer pricing and intercompany crosscharges Liaison with overseas office for financial matters on overseas entity Balance sheet reconciliations and certification of balances in the Group accounting system Perform month end book close duties, including accruals and other ad hoc journals Perform validation of AP invoices for accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies Assist in preparation of tax provisions and closing of monthly results for the company Assist in preparation of monthly result reporting to directors and Group Assist in preparation of response to head office query on financial results and analysis Other quarterly and annual reporting responsibilities Completion of reporting packs for submission to Head Office Preparation of regulatory and statutory submissions and financial surveys and other regulators and government bodies, including SFC related reports. Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements and assistance with the statutory audit process including liaising with external auditors Preparation of corporate tax schedules as required and assistance with liaising with the tax agent Finance Control (Daily/Weekly aspects) Ensure application of all agreed group accounting and financial policies. Contribute to the maintenance of the control framework to ensure it is operating appropriately, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to policy. Others Continually review existing processes to streamline where appropriate to improve efficiency and effectiveness to allow additional analysis to be performed Provide back up support for team member duties Assist in any ad hoc tasks as delegated by the Senior Finance Manager including information requests Active contribution to projects and initiatives from time to time Requirements Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the financial services industry Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships with a good customer focus A desire to question and improve on the status quo and experience in managing such projects Strong ability to adapt to and utilise various financial and analytics systems, including strong Excel skills Relevant experience working in or with Financial Services organisations with matrix reporting structure (Asset Management industry and audit experience beneficial) Proven track record in multi-tasking and active participation and contribution in projects.
