The Hong Kong Trade Development Council ("HKTDC"), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong's external trade, seeks a dynamic and high caliber professional to join our Internal Audit Department.

The position's major responsibilities include:

  • Carry out and document detailed and system testing on business controls, systems and processes, practices and procedures to ensure and enhance control effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Prepare working papers, analyse findings and results in an organized manner, provide recommendations for corrective actions to strengthen internal control procedures.
  • Perform end-to-end process oriented review to enhance operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Communicate the audit results and findings with the clients for understanding the audit implications and recommendations.
  • Perform follow-up reviews to assess implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Ensure timely completion of the assignments according to the annual audit plan.
  • Perform some ad hoc and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with a degree in accountancy (additional CIA or CISA highly preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably with multinational corporations.
  • Experience from both Big 4 accounting firms and internal auditing is a definite advantage.
  • Excellent command of English writing skills, fluent in speaking English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
  • Proficient in IT applications (Oracle-savvy is a plus).
  • A resourceful, adaptive and mature team player with strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all business levels.
  • Able to resolve complex issues and provide solutions to the management.
  • Meticulous, systematic, tactful and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Responsible, positive and committed to internal auditing as a career.

Remuneration and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits, will be offered.
