Construction Inspector (Luxury Hotel project) The site inspector monitor the progress of on-site activities and ensure the quality of workmanship and materials of all installations. He / She will coordinate the contractors to ensure the smooth implementation of contract requirements and ensure specifications, as well as ensure all site works are carried out in compliance with related standards, quality control systems and the Company’s policy. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and quality checks, particularly focusing on high‑end finishes Participate in site meetings, internal meetings with Artelia team members, contractor and supplier meeting. Verify compliance with approved shop drawings for all structural, architectural, and MEP works before and during installation. Ensure contractors use the latest “for construction” drawings and immediately report any discrepancies or unauthorized changes. Inspect incoming materials on‑site to confirm they match approved samples, specifications, and quality standards. Check installation methods against approved method statements and technical specifications to ensure proper execution. Monitor workmanship quality continuously, especially for luxury finishes, joinery, and decorative elements. Review and confirm compliance of mock‑ups and prototypes before full‑scale implementation. Conduct detailed inspections of high‑end finishes (stone, wood, metal, glass) to ensure precision and consistency. Document all inspections and compliance checks with photographic evidence and detailed reports. Identify and report non‑conformities related to materials, drawings, or workmanship, and follow up on corrective actions. Participate in snagging and commissioning inspections, ensuring all defects are rectified to meet luxury hospitality standards. Requirements Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, or related discipline Minimum 3 years of solid experience, with at least 2 years in hospitality or high‑end commercial projects in Hong Kong Familiarity with Hong Kong local construction practices Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural and interior drawings Good communication in both English and Cantonese, with Cantonese proficiency being essential Able to deliver quality product, achieve customer satisfaction and demonstrate teamwork, preparedness as well as sense of urgency Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Engineering and Consulting Industries Building Construction, Construction, and Civil Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
