Freelance Japanese Translator (English to Japanese) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Japanese Translator to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure high-quality localization of our products for the Japanese market. Responsibilities Localization & Translation: Translate and localize a diverse range of content from English into Japanese, and occasionally from Japanese into English. This includes: Company Website content Software/Product User Interface (UI) strings Product descriptions and documentation Marketing materials (e.g., press releases, blog posts) Other business documents Quality Assurance & Review: Participate in the review and revision process for translated content, including incorporating feedback derived from customer reviews to maintain linguistic consistency and accuracy. Terminology Management: Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and style across all translated materials. Requirements Native Fluency: Must be a native Japanese speaker with an exceptional understanding of Japanese cultural nuances. English Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English, demonstrated by the ability to fully comprehend technical and marketing source texts. Technical Acumen: Familiarity with database concepts, terminology (e.g., SQL, data types, database management systems), and/or experience translating technical software documentation is highly preferred. Quality & Speed: Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality translations while adhering to strict deadlines and managing a demanding schedule.
