PREAMBLE:
Country DC Tech Ops Engineer are technical specialists with a strong track record in IT infrastructure, responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting within Data Center IT Operations, IT Automation, and Compliance. This includes ensuring the efficient operation of systems and related equipment.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Proven experience with IT operations systems, including control systems and physical security controls. Proficient in operating Microsoft Windows-based computers, workstations, and servers, as well as Microsoft Office applications and engineering drawing applications, to ensure the efficient functioning of Data Centers. Responsible for designing and testing automation processes for physical security systems, BMS, and IT automation from a management perspective. Responsible for identifying compliance risks and the necessary actions to mitigate them, prioritizing compliance-related tasks and activities using a risk-based approach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will be responsible for Automation, IT Operations, and Physical Security systems strategies, design and specifications.
- Collaborate with multiple teams across different disciplines.
- Drive project schedules while working closely with other disciplines to ensure milestones and completion dates are on track.
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects, in a team or independently with little to no oversight.
- Work closely with clients and subcontractors to provide support and technical guidance in IT Operations and Compliance framework.
- Advise and guide the business on Compliance matters aligned to the Data Center business model and related risk profile.
- Implement and oversee applicable compliance policies, processes, and procedures.
- Assist in handling administrative work related to ISO certification preparation and audit, document control.
- Collect, prepare and submit the required documents for obtaining and implementing International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certificates, e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001; and other certificates, e.g. DCOS, TIA-942, PCI-DSS and TVRA etc.
- Co-ordinate with external certification bodies on all certification-related matters of the Company.
- Identify the data center manual processes which can be automated and liaise with the team to provide solutions.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Science in Automation, IT Operation, Compliance Controls or related fields preferred.
- 3-10 years relevant Operation of IT Operations or Compliance Controls.
- Familiar with ISO 27001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / PCI-DSS / TVRA / TIA-942 etc. would be an added advantage.
- Experience in handling ISO internal & external audit, document control and/or product development workflow would be highly preferred.
- Work Experience in Data Center.
- Eye for details; and has done troubleshooting of IT Operations.
- Ability to single-handedly drive IT Operations and Compliance with Vendor, Consultant, and other 3rd party in sync with internal teams.
- Proficient knowledge in operation of Microsoft Windows-based computers, workstations, and servers along with Microsoft Office applications and engineering drawing applications.
- Good interpersonal skills including good verbal and written communication in English.
