Senior Business Analyst, Custody (Renewable Contract) A leading global financial institution is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its Custody team in Hong Kong, playing a pivotal role in transforming Asset Services offerings and platforms across Global Custody and Direct Custody businesses. As a Senior Business Analyst - Custody based in Hong Kong, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the transformation journey of Asset Services across global custody operations. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve working closely with cross‑functional teams to analyse current business processes, identify areas for enhancement, and design future state models that align with organisational goals. You will be responsible for facilitating workshops with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and communicate process changes clearly. By developing detailed process maps ('As Is' and 'To Be') and tracking key performance indicators post‑implementation, you will ensure that each solution delivers tangible improvements in customer experience as well as operational efficiency. Your ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners will be crucial as you navigate complex challenges in a fast‑evolving environment. Success in this role will require you to balance analytical rigour with empathetic stakeholder engagement while maintaining flexibility in your approach as priorities shift. Collaborate extensively with business partners, technology groups, suppliers, and customers to design optimal solutions for Asset Services within Securities Services. Design and develop comprehensive 'As Is' process maps to document current business processes and service offerings in detail. Identify and prioritise business and operational needs to enhance overall service delivery and client experience within the custody asset class. Create detailed 'To Be' process maps that illustrate future state business processes and offerings aligned with strategic objectives. Assess the business implications of proposed solutions on the existing operating environment to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption. Champion robust strategic solutions by encouraging colleagues to think holistically while leveraging the expertise of subject matter experts and programme teams. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including business leaders, product teams, and subject matter experts to foster open communication and shared understanding. Facilitate workshops and meetings aimed at gathering requirements, validating assumptions, and communicating changes in business processes effectively. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implementations and monitor ongoing usage of new solutions. Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on implemented changes and identifying further opportunities for optimisation Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of post‑trade operations, equities processing, asset services functions, and proxy voting within a custodian environment is essential for success in this position. Proven track record of implementing vendor solution products or similar large‑scale technology‑driven projects would be highly advantageous. Extensive experience with business process mapping techniques including both 'As Is' analysis and 'To Be' process design is required. Flexibility in approach combined with initiative‑taking abilities enables you to respond quickly to changing situations while remaining focused on outcomes.
