Assistant System Manager/ Senior System Engineer

Assistant System Manager/ Senior System Engineer Build and maintain the on-premise data center. Evaluate new technologies and participate in the server farm revamp with vendors. Provide prompt production support for different business units; identify problem root cause and implement preventive measures. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues. Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure. Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. Responsible for capacity, storage planning and system performance. Responsible for the implementation of the project, including planning, scheduling, quality control, vendor management, auditing and budget management. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure systems. Proven experience in IT budgeting and strategic planning. Plan and execute infrastructure upgrade projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget. Forecast costs for hardware, software, and services. Align IT spending with business objectives and ensure cost optimization. Provide production support on 7 X 24 basis. Requirements Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant disciplines. Hands‑on experience with databases: Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL (others are a plus). Virtualization expertise: VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar platforms; experience in solution migration. Knowledge of network management, including routing, switching, and firewalls. Knowledge of Veeam backup and implementation. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and O365 is a MUST. Scripting skills using Linux Shell and PowerShell. Understanding of the major network and application protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, TFTP, PXE, Syslog. Knowledge of virtualization technologies VMWare ESXi/SAN. Knowing financial system/application is definitely an advantage. Knowledge other major cloud platforms is an advantage. Experienced in using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch and SolarWinds. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and leadership skills. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior System Engineer.
