Assistant Manager, Automated People Mover System

Job Description - Assistant Manager, Automated People Mover System ) This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organisation need and individual performance. Responsibilities Supervise a team of Superintendents to carry out Automated People Mover (APM) Fault Response duty in an effective and efficient manner Provide first line fault response service and fault attendance of APM system to minimize the service impact during system outage Monitor the overall APM system performance to ensure safe and reliable APM service Assist in providing technical solutions to new/enhancement works of APM system and/or other related E&M works (including but not limited to AIS platforms, T2 Line commissioning, and replacement of APM cars) during design, construction, and commissioning stages to ensure all future maintenance requirements have been taken into account Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to carry out system fault handling and related maintenance works and enhancement projects Assist to develop, refine and execute all related APM operational procedures, contingency plans, drills and exercises Assist the line maintenance team to coordinate and supervise contractors in carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance works, overhaul works, workmanship monitoring, testing and commissioning of alteration and improvement works Prepare duty log, incident report, and conduct system fault investigation and analysis Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure the works are conducted in safe and efficient manner with minimal impact on daily airport operations and completed on time Perform shift duties is required Requirements Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 8 years’ relevant working experience in supervision maintenance and/or construction works. Degree holder with 6 years’ relevant working experience will also be considered Solid experience in railway industry or maintenance of large scale E&M systems under a live operating environment will be an advantage Strong communication, coordination, interpersonal, analytical and organizing skills Proactive, service-oriented and able to work independently Holder of Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker for HV and/or LV electrical installations will be an advantage Possess a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
