Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I Global Institute for Emerging Technologies - Future Team (GIET(FT) ) under the Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF). Appointment Period: 12 months . Responsibilities Lead rigorous academic research underpinning GIET’s projects and programs, including developing instruments and analyzing data. Assist in synthesizing findings into well‑structured reports and academic papers for peer‑reviewed journals, conferences, or other scholarly outlets. Write research, development, and donation proposals; develop budgets, manage timelines, and coordinate with institutional stakeholders. Review GIET’s education and training programs to ensure alignment with academic standards and research evidence; collaborate on new academic initiatives. Travel outside Hong Kong as required by the University. Perform other research or development tasks as assigned by co‑directors. Qualifications For Senior Research Assistant: Master’s degree and at least one year of full‑time Post‑MA experience (research and educational institutions preferred) or a Doctoral degree. For Research Assistant I: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred academic background in Computer Science, AI, Learning Design & Technology, Data Science, or Management. Proficiency in emerging technologies such as AI and research tools. High proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua). Experience with grant writing and competitive research grants highly valued. Interdisciplinary expertise bridging education, technology, and applied research encouraged. Strong presentation and communication skills; programming skills a plus. Self‑motivated, resilient, able to manage multiple deadlines and work beyond normal office hours; works independently with minimal supervision. Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
