Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Research Assistant Professor (Ref: ) The Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF) is seeking an inspirational and energetic candidate to join the University in support of its development in the fields of National Security and Legal Education. Successful applicants will join the University’s highly qualified scholars team and affiliate to the relevant academic department and/or academy. The appointees will contribute to enhancing the University’s research capacity and impact on the relevant strategic research field(s). Responsibilities Conduct high-quality research and generate scholarly publications or other significant research outputs. Initiate and support research projects, and secure external research grants (such as ECS/GRF/PPR) to enhance domain impact. Strengthen academic and professional networks, including collaborations with local and overseas institutions and universities. Develop curriculum and programmes, and manage programmes and courses at undergraduate to postgraduate levels. Engage in and lead research-related activities with colleagues and RPg students. Participate in and be an active member of the University’s community. Qualifications Applicants should have a doctoral degree and/or prior degrees in relevant field(s). They should be active researchers with proven capacity and potential in research. Fluency in English is required, with preferably some knowledge of Cantonese and/or Mandarin Chinese and the educational context of Hong Kong and/or China. Candidates with international experience would also be highly valued. Applicants for Associate Professor should possess evidence of strong research output and publication in relevant field(s) and a strong research track record and impact. Applicants for Assistant Professor should possess evidence of scholarship, research, and publications in the relevant field(s). Knowledge of, or an area of focus on, higher education in Asia, China, or the Greater Bay Area would further be welcome. Salary and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totaling up to 15% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where applicable, housing benefits.
