Global Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions Group

The Executive Director, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), based in Hong Kong, will lead and manage the FIG business locally. This senior role is responsible for driving business development, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence to support growth and profitability within the financial institutions sector. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with regional and global teams to align the Hong Kong FIG strategy with the firm’s broader objectives. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and enhance product offerings within the financial institutions sector in Hong Kong. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), including insurance companies, broker‑dealers, and asset managers. Team Leadership: Lead and mobilize cross‑functional JPM teams to drive client engagement and deliver comprehensive solutions. Risk Management: Ensure robust risk management practices, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to internal policies. Financial Performance: Achieve revenue and profitability targets, contributing to the sustainable growth of the FIG business in Hong Kong. Market Analysis: Monitor local market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform business strategy. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Minimum 10 years’ experience managing relationships with banks and NBFIs, including insurance companies, broker‑dealers, and asset managers. Strong understanding of the financial services sector in Hong Kong and APAC more broadly. Ability to provide valuable insights and content to Treasurers, Investment Officers, and Chief Financial Officers of financial institutions. Proven track record in originating and leading transactions. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead and mobilize cross‑functional JPM teams for client engagement and business development. About us J.P.
