We are seeking an experienced Broker, SME Market to join our Hong Kong team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of small and medium‑sized enterprise (SME) clients, offering tailored financial or insurance solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and compliance. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and engage potential SME clients (multi lines). Generate new business through proactive networking, market research, and identifying potential opportunities in the SME sector. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and gather underwriting information to deliver tailored solutions and advisory services. Coordinate and prepare tender proposals, ensuring accurate and timely insurance placements aligned with client needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing account servicing including renewals, claims assistance, and ongoing advisory support. Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust. Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices relevant to SMEs in Hong Kong. Represent the firm at industry events and participate in professional development activities to continuously enhance expertise. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of internal capabilities and service standards. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE: Bachelor’s degree holder, with insurance qualifications to practice as an insurance broker in Hong Kong (i.e. IIQE Paper 1 & 2) is a must. Minimum 15 years of experience in SME brokerage, financial advisory, or insurance services. Strong understanding of the SME landscape in Hong Kong, including regulatory frameworks and business challenges. Proven ability to build and maintain long‑term client relationships. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Highly driven and energetic with strong interpersonal communication skills, a good team player, and a proactive, self‑motivated attitude. Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
