Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Digital Solution Delivery will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of digital solutions that support Sun Life business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust background in project management, application development, digital transformation, and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Oversee large-scale cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance of cloud-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure clear communication and expectation management throughout project lifecycles.
- Develop and implement best practices for project management and digital solution delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, proposing solutions to mitigate challenges.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Demonstrate experience in web application and mobile app development, guiding teams in the delivery of high-quality user experiences.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT sector and at least 3 years in managerial role;
- Proven track record of successfully delivering digital solutions and managing complex projects, particularly in the context of large-scale cloud migrations;
- Strong knowledge of digital technologies and trends relevant to the insurance sector;
- Hands-on experience in API design and development, with an understanding of best practices for integration;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels;
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus;
- Relevant certifications (PMP, Agile, AWS, Azure, etc.) are desirable.
