Master Agreement Negotiator - 6+ Month Contract

A leading global financial institution is expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region and has partnered with ElevateFlex as they seek an experienced Master Agreement Negotiator to join their Hong Kong team.

This role involves working closely with the Business Line Heads and the Legal department to support high-impact negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, Negotiation, and Execution—Manage a portfolio of Master Agreements ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Review & Compliance – Conduct capacity and authority checks, close-out netting, and collateral legal opinion reviews.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration—Engage with internal teams (Sales, Bankers, Client Office, Legal, Risk, and Operations) and external clients (corporates and financial institutions).
  • KPI Monitoring – Track and meet time and volume targets while ensuring seamless contract execution.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving – Address client comments swiftly and coordinate early deviation requests.

Required Expertise & Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience negotiating ISDA, CSA (VM/IM), CDEA, GMRA, and GMSLA under UK, Australian, and Japanese law.
  • In-depth knowledge of netting & collateral rules, capacity & authority checks, and legal opinion reviews.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and drive results.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills – team-oriented and globally connected.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading).
