Senior IT Officer (Network Infrastructure), Computing Services Centre Add expected salary to your profile for insights HONG KONG SHUE YAN UNIVERSITYComputing Services Centre Position: Senior IT Officer (Network Infrastructure) Major Responsibilities: Manage, implement, and maintain the university’s network infrastructure, including computer networks, firewalls, switches, servers, and telecommunications systems; Perform network administration tasks such as troubleshooting, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and solution implementation, as well as planning for disaster recovery; Plan and manage network infrastructure upgrades, including the replacement and enhancement of switches and firewalls; Manage, monitor, fine‑tune, and expand the university’s Wi‑Fi network; Prepare network diagrams and technical documentation related to servers, systems, and network infrastructure; Conduct daily operational health checks and monitor the university’s IT systems and infrastructure to ensure timely restoration of services in the event of disruptions or outages; Carry out scheduled maintenance or upgrade tasks outside of regular office hours when necessary; Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Holder of Higher Diploma or above in IT or related disciplines; At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred; Solid experience on Network (LAN/WAN), switch, firewall, router, and wireless network; Strong analytical, independent, excellent problem‑solving skills, and able to work under pressure; Self‑motivated and able to collaborate with IT team members and users; Good interpersonal and communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. Candidates with more experience will be considered for the rank of “Assistant IT Manager/IT Manager”.
