Position Overview Strategy Consultants (Admissions Counsellors) are exemplars of Crimson Education’s philosophy, dedicated to making a difference in students’ lives by personalising blueprints that become the basis of all academic, extracurricular, and personal development. Location & Eligibility Full‑time role based in our Shanghai office. Native‑English speakers who attended a US‑based top‑30 college for their undergraduate degree are highly preferred; relocation to China is supported. Success Criteria Provide overarching admissions strategies, creating individualized plans and executing them with the student’s Crimson team (Educational Coordinators, Tutors, Application Consultants, and ECL Mentors). Maintain expert knowledge of high‑school curricula, extracurriculars, summer programs, and standardized‑test planning to recommend the best admissions strategies. Use in‑depth knowledge of higher‑education institutions to guide students and parents toward attainable school goals and maximize acceptance chances. Conduct formal consulting sessions with students on a bi‑monthly basis, documenting and sharing notes and action items with stakeholders. Maintain timely communication with students and families outside formal sessions via email and other channels. Facilitate or lead the development and presentation of marketing materials for seminars or expositions in local markets. Collaborate with local sales teams on initial consultations to support potential client investment and understanding of Crimson’s products and services. Assist with product and resource development initiatives to enhance our service. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree from a top‑30 US university (special consideration may be given to those with an undergraduate admissions‑consulting background). Strong preference for experience with US undergraduate admissions consulting at top‑ranked universities. Passion for coaching young adults and appreciation of global perspectives. Superior planning and organisational skills; experience in project management, event coordination, and product management is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Stakeholder management experience (collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders, students, and parents). Resilience when working independently under pressure, with a flexible and adaptive mindset in a fast‑paced, growing organisation.
