Patient Care Assistant II (Pathology) DEPARTMENT/HOSPITAL: Pathology Department, Tseung Kwan O Hospital / Haven of Hope HospitalPAY: HK$19,764 to HK$24,701 per monthEnd-of-contract gratuity: Up to 5% of total basic salary may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. REF. NO.: KEC/C130/25 Key Responsibilities Perform specimen receiving, sorting, labeling, registration and handling at the pre-analytical stage. Transport of specimens to other laboratories. Operate and handle general support service machinery or medical equipment and related laboratory work. Assist in preparation of disinfectants, reagents and stains. Perform patient data entry, registration and acknowledgment receipt of sendout reports in Laboratory Information System. Disposal of laboratory wastes after sterilization. Assist in stock keeping and manual handling work. Answer phone enquiry. Perform general clerical job such as typing, filing, data analysis, statistical reporting and reception service. Assist in handling supplies and stores including dangerous goods. Perform all kinds of cleansing and disinfecting jobs when required. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements Completed F.5/S.5, or equivalent. Completion of a recognized /in-service training program (See Remarks). Preferred Attributes / Exposure Able to read and write Chinese and English and speak fluent Cantonese. Knowledge in computer operation and PC applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. Able to follow working instructions precisely. Commitment to work accurately and carefully with respect to specimen labelling and processing. Be mature and possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure. Remarks Please refer to for Notes to Applicants.
