Assistant Programme Officer Join to apply for the Assistant Programme Officer role at The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education . The HKAGE is a subvented non-governmental organisation, to advocate and provide support services for gifted students, parents and teachers/schools. Main Job Responsibilities Assist in the design, revamp, and implementation of training programmes, exhibitions, and competitions aligned with the Academy’s Talent Development framework, promoting Whole Person Development and future skills competencies. Shadow Programme Officers and support and guide gifted students in participating in diversified levels of local, regional, national, and international competitions, academic conferences, exhibitions, and learning experiences, showcasing high-impact learning while overseeing programme logistics, finance, service provider coordination, and student placement processes. Oversee programme operations including enrolment, scheduling, records, and emergency handling; administer divisional and academy-level educational and publicity events to showcase student development and achievements. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Programme Manager and/or Senior Programme Officer, contributing to the overall effectiveness and agility of the academy. Requirements Recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent; academic background in STEAM disciplines will be favourably considered. Genuine interest in gifted education and a strong commitment to nurturing high-potential learners through innovative and student-centred approaches. Detail-oriented and eager to learn, with solid project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and similar software; experience with generative AI tools, Canva, social media platforms, and electronic publishing is a strong advantage. Strong command of English and Chinese (written and spoken); ability to communicate in Putonghua is an added asset. Occasional travel to Mainland China and overseas may be required. First-aid certificate preferable. Terms Of Appointment The successful candidate will be offered an initial term of two years. Re-appointment will be subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
