We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages. Job: Temporary/Part-time Academic School/Unit: School of Education and Languages Closing Date: 22 Dec 2025, 3:59:00 PM Job ID: 25002QB Responsibilities The appointee should be able to plan and deliver the full-time undergraduate course ENGL 3330EEF Lexical Studies in English. The course is a 3000-level course on English lexicology. The appointee is expected to be familiar with the historical, morphological and semantic dimensions of English words and be able to teach these dimensions to students, bringing together theory and insights from theoretical linguistics, second language learning and teaching, and corpus linguistics. Teach a maximum of three hours (lectures and tutorials) per week during weekdays daytime. Complete related duties including assisting in the development of teaching and learning materials. Mark assignments and examinations and provide consultation to students. The appointee will be required to carry out duties for the period between January and June 2026. Qualifications A higher degree in English linguistics, language and/or literature or a related discipline. Fluent in both written and spoken English. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in higher education. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract.
